Watch Live!!! Launching of the 'Women's Safety in Public Places' Campaign
Women’s Safety in Public Places (WSPP) is a collaborative campaign by Young Bangla- a youth platform of Centre for Research and Information (CRI), Human Rights Programme, UNDP, and the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).
The campaign aims to create positive perception, attitude and behaviour change for equal rights of women and girls through massive awareness raising activities among youth & other relevant actors, particularly on women safety concerns.
In addition, it aims to propagate necessary policy reform to comprehensively address gender-based violence and harassment in public places. The campaign will comprise of an action plan for disseminating information, capacity enhancement training for stakeholders and advocacy for policy and legal reform.
10 leading youth organizations, in 5 divisional cities and 5 districts across Bangladesh, will implement the WSPP campaign.
