On 05 October 2016, NHRCB Chairman Kazi Reazul Hoque visited Square Hospital to see Khadiza Begum, a 19-year old College girl who was hacked with a machete in Sylhet. The Chairman talked with the doctors and hospital authorities and told them to take special care of the girl. After that, he briefed in media.

Kazi Reazul Hoque said, “I hope that the promise of honorable Home Minister to bring the perpetrator under justice and ensure his punishment will come into reality very soon. For doing this, we do not need much time because the attack was happened openly and it is the people who caught the attacker and handed him to the police. We want to see that the police will finish investigation immediately and submit charge sheet accurately within one week. ” “Justice delayed is justice denied. So, we want justice to be ensured immediately so that people will have faith on law enforcement agencies and exercise their right to life and movement properly,” he added.
